Summer
Nanny
During the school year, children's lives are so structured
and scheduled. Wouldn't it be great to give your child
a break from the normal routine? Nanny Works offers
a wonderful solution. Summer nannies come to your house
on a full time or part-time basis. Nannies can plan fun
activities and outings for your children as well as take
children to activities you may already have scheduled.
Definition
Most summer nannies are college students or teachers who
are interested in caring for children during the summer
months.
Salary
Summer nanny salaries vary depending on experience, education,
hours worked, number of children and responsibilities.

at the high school or college level is a plus)

Summer Nanny Hiring Process
- Complete the Family Application and Family Agreement
forms. These forms are designed to help the agency know
more about your family and needs. These forms will need
to be completed before the agency can proceed with recruiting
your nanny.
- Initial Meeting with Nanny Works. At this
meeting we will address your questions and clarify information
on forms and job description you have completed.
- Interviewing candidates. The agency will share information
about the family and the job to prospective nannies and
likewise will share information about prospective nannies
with families. We will never give names of our families
or nannies before the interview is set up. If there is
a mutual interest, the agency will arrange interviews
between nannies and families. Most interviews take place
in the family's home at a time that is mutually agreeable.
- Placement of a nanny. After the family has made an
offer to the nanny and the nanny has accepted, the family,
nanny and agency representative have one final meeting
to ensure that all aspects of the job description/offer
are clear and acceptable to both the nanny and family.
At that time, the remainder of the placement fee is paid
to the agency.
Agency Fees
Down payment is due at the signing of the agreement. The
balance of the placement fee is paid after a summer nanny
has been hired by the family and covers a period of 3 months.
We will do our best to send the same nanny but cannot guarantee
the same nanny as our nannies work for many families.
THE PLACEMENT FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. If necessary,
we will replace the nanny one time during the summer at
no extra cost to you.
